Performance Aspects CPA specializes in providing high quality attestation and performance auditing services with competence, integrity, objectivity, and independence to state governments, local governments, and nonprofits.
There are three types of attestation engagements, namely Examinations, Reviews, and Agreed Upon Procedure engagements. All three are evaluations of an assertion or subject matter based on a criterion but with different levels of assurance. A performance audit on the other hand, is an independent examination of a program, function, operation, or the management systems and procedures of a governmental or non-profit entity to assess whether the entity is achieving economy, efficiency and effectiveness in using its available resources.
We are independent of your organization. We are therefore able to provide you with objective insight into the performance of your program through our attestation and performance auditing services. In addition, we adhere to a code of professional conduct that requires that we uphold the highest standards of integrity.
We conduct our attestation engagements based on the Statements on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) or the generally accepted government auditing standards (GAGAS) by the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO). We conduct our performance audits in compliance with GAGAS.
We have experience in providing value-adding attestation and performance auditing services as independent professionals. After carefully reviewing your program and its processes, we will provide you with results or recommendations to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, or economy of the program. Our principal is a certified public accountant (CPA) with over fifteen years performing audits under the Government Auditing Standards.
We recognize that we have a corporate responsibility to preserve the habitability of our planet. We therefore promote and strive for a culture of environmental responsibility by integrating values of sustainability in all facets of our business. While we have not currently set any corporate sustainability goals, we support and will continuously consider the environmental impact of our actions and make efforts to reduce our ecological footprint by implementing sustainable practices in the workplace such as reusing and recycling whenever possible.
Navigating the nuances of different types of audits – Single Audit, Performance Audit, Financial Audit, Attestation Engagement – is challenging even for seasoned professionals. We imagine you may need some clarification and guidance too. We would like to hear from you and set you on the right path to complying with your grant or program requirements.
